Bruce Edwards was a renowned American golf caddie born on July 16, 1954, in Hartford, Connecticut. He gained fame for being the longtime caddie for legendary golfer Tom Watson. Edwards started his career in the golf industry at a young age, working as a caddie at the exclusive Stonington Country Club in Connecticut. Known for his expertise and exceptional skill on the golf course, Edwards quickly became one of the most sought-after caddies on the PGA Tour. Over his illustrious career, he caddied for some of the biggest names in the game, including Greg Norman and Aaron Baddeley. However, it was his partnership with Tom Watson that brought him the most success and recognition. The duo achieved numerous victories together, including multiple major championships. In 2003, tragedy struck when Edwards was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Throughout his battle with the debilitating illness, he continued to caddie for Watson, inspiring countless fans with his resilience and determination.
