Carlos, de son vrai nom Yvan-Chrysostome Dolto, est une figure emblématique de la chanson française. Né le 20 février 1943 à Paris, il est le fils du célèbre pédagogue et psychanalyste Françoise Dolto et du journaliste Boris Dolto. Carlos grandit dans un milieu artistique et intellectuel, ce qui éveille rapidement sa passion pour la musique. Très tôt, il se tourne vers le rock'n'roll, inspiré par des icônes telles que Elvis Presley et Chuck Berry. En 1963, Carlos débute sa carrière musicale en tant que bassiste dans le groupe Les Chats Sauvages, aux côtés d'Eddy Mitchell, Dick Rivers et Jacques Higelin. C'est à cette époque qu'il adopte son pseudonyme, en hommage à Carlito, un personnage de la comédie musicale West Side Story. Pendant des années, il enchaîne les tournées et les enregistrements avec le groupe, contribuant largement au succès de leur répertoire. En 1972, Carlos décide de se lancer en solo et sort son premier album éponyme. Le succès est immédiat avec des tubes comme "Tout nu, tout bronzé" et "Big bisous". Doté d'un sens de l'humour décalé et d'une énergie communicative, Carlos devient rapidement une personnalité appréciée du public français. Il enchaîne les albums à succès, abordant différents styles musicaux allant du rock à la variété, mais toujours avec une touche d'humour et de fantaisie. Outre sa carrière musicale, Carlos se distingue également dans le domaine du cinéma. Il fait ses débuts d'acteur en 1974 dans le film "Deux grandes filles dans un pyjama", puis enchaîne avec de nombreux autres rôles dans des comédies populaires. Son humour et sa personnalité attachante lui valent une belle popularité auprès du grand public. Au fil des années, Carlos se consacre également à la télévision en devenant l'animateur de plusieurs émissions à succès, notamment "Carlos chanteur" et "Le hit-parade des enfants". Il participe également à des émissions de télé-réalité, telles que "La Ferme Célébrités" en 2004. Malheureusement, la santé de Carlos se détériore au cours des dernières années de sa vie. Atteint de la maladie de Charcot, il décède le 17 janvier 2008 à l'âge de 64 ans. Sa disparition suscite une vague d'émotion en France, et le public se souvient avec tendresse de ce chanteur à la bonne humeur contagieuse et au répertoire entraînant. Carlos restera à jamais une légende de la chanson française, symbole d'une époque marquée par la joie de vivre et le rythme endiablé.
