Charles Le Goffic était une célébrité française du début du XXe siècle. Né le 15 février 1863 à Lannion, en Bretagne, il a grandi dans un environnement marqué par la culture et la littérature. Dès son plus jeune âge, il a développé une passion pour l'écriture et la poésie. Après des études brillantes, Le Goffic décida de se consacrer pleinement à la littérature. Il publia son premier recueil de poèmes en 1882, intitulé "Les Vaines Tendresses", qui fut très bien accueilli par la critique. Ce premier succès lui permit de se faire remarquer dans les milieux littéraires parisiens et de nouer des amitiés avec des personnalités influentes de l'époque, telles que Paul Verlaine et Anatole France. Au fil des années, Charles Le Goffic s'est imposé comme l'un des écrivains les plus talentueux de sa génération. Il a écrit de nombreux recueils de poésie, dont "Le Pays de Bretagne" en 1893, qui témoigne de son amour pour sa région natale. Ses vers mélancoliques, empreints de nostalgie et de sensibilité, ont touché le cœur de nombreux lecteurs. Parallèlement à son œuvre poétique, Le Goffic s'est également illustré en tant qu'historien et romancier. Il a publié plusieurs essais et biographies, dont "La Bretagne et la mer" en 1903, qui révèle son intérêt profond pour l'histoire et la culture de sa région natale. Son roman historique "La Nouvelle Caravelle" en 1908 connaît également un grand succès. En 1919, Charles Le Goffic fut nommé membre de l'Académie française, consécration suprême pour tout écrivain. Il se consacra ensuite à la promotion de la culture bretonne et fut l'un des principaux contributeurs à la création de la Fête des Filets bleus à Concarneau en 1920. Charles Le Goffic est décédé le 17 mars 1932 à Lannion, laissant derrière lui une œuvre riche et variée qui continue d'inspirer et de fasciner les amoureux de la littérature française. Sa poésie, sa passion pour la Bretagne et son engagement en faveur de la culture bretonne font de lui une figure emblématique de son époque, reconnue pour sa sensibilité et son érudition.
