Claude Brosset, de son vrai nom Claude Raymond Brosset, était un acteur français né le 31 décembre 1943 à Paris et décédé le 25 juin 2007 à Montpellier. Avec sa carrière qui a duré plus de quatre décennies, Brosset est devenu l'un des acteurs les plus appréciés et reconnus de sa génération. Né dans une famille d'artistes, Brosset a été bercé dans le monde du théâtre dès son plus jeune âge. Il fait ses débuts sur les planches à l'âge de dix-huit ans, en intégrant le Conservatoire national d'art dramatique de Paris, où il a étudié sous la direction de René Simon. Grâce à son talent exceptionnel et son jeu authentique, il a rapidement été repéré par les grands réalisateurs de l'époque. Au cours de sa carrière cinématographique, Brosset a joué dans plus de quatre-vingts longs métrages, travaillant avec des réalisateurs renommés tels que François Truffaut, Claude Lelouch, Bertrand Blier et Jean-Jacques Annaud. Parmi ses rôles les plus marquants figuraient celui de Stanislas dans "Les Valseuses" (1974), film culte réalisé par Bertrand Blier. Son interprétation lui a valu une reconnaissance critique et l'a propulsé comme l'un des acteurs les plus talentueux de sa génération. Brosset a également marqué le petit écran avec des apparitions mémorables dans des séries télévisées populaires telles que "Les Enquêtes du Commissaire Maigret" et "Navarro". Son charisme et son jeu subtil lui ont valu l'admiration du public et des critiques. Il a remporté le César du meilleur acteur dans un second rôle en 1993 pour son interprétation dans "Un cœur en hiver" réalisé par Claude Sautet. Il a fondé la compagnie théâtrale Les Tréteaux de France et a dirigé plusieurs productions mémorables.
