Claude Gaspard Bachet de Méziriac était un célèbre mathématicien et poète français du XVIIe siècle. Né le 9 octobre 1581 à Bourg-en-Bresse, il fut un érudit polyvalent et un esprit brillant. Il est connu pour ses contributions majeures dans le domaine des mathématiques, en particulier dans l'étude des équations diophantiennes et de la théorie des nombres.
