Claude Luter, né le 23 juillet 1923 à Paris, était un célèbre clarinettiste et saxophoniste de jazz français. Inspiré par les grands noms du jazz américain tels que Louis Armstrong et Sidney Bechet, il a rapidement appris à jouer de la clarinette. En 1952, Luter décide de former son propre groupe, le "Claude Luter Orchestra", avec lequel il va connaître de grands succès.
