Claude Vigée, de son vrai nom Paul Lévy, est une figure incontournable de la littérature et de la culture française du XXe siècle. Né le 3 janvier 1921 à Bischwiller, en Alsace, il est issu d'une famille juive, ce qui va marquer profondément son parcours et son œuvre. Durant son enfance, Claude Vigée fait preuve d'une passion précoce pour la littérature. En 1938, il entame des études de philosophie à Strasbourg, mais cette période sera rapidement interrompue par la Seconde Guerre mondiale et l'occupation nazie. Juif et résistant, il est contraint de se cacher et de fuir l'Alsace. Cette expérience traumatisante marquera sa vie et notamment son œuvre poétique qui exprime une profonde réflexion sur l'exil, la mémoire et la condition humaine. Après la guerre, Claude Vigée décide de s'installer à Paris où il fait la connaissance de grands poètes et intellectuels tels que René Char, Paul Celan ou encore André Gide. Sa rencontre avec Paul Celan, lui-même rescapé des camps de concentration, sera déterminante pour son engagement poétique. Vigée rejoint le mouvement de la poésie de la résistance et devient un défenseur inlassable de la mémoire de la Shoah. Au fil des années, Claude Vigée se fait un nom dans le monde des lettres françaises. Son premier recueil, "Soulages", publié en 1951, est salué par la critique et révèle sa sensibilité poétique unique. S'ensuivent de nombreux autres recueils, tels que "Le Printemps des Vallées" (1965), "Témoignages devant la vie" (1971) ou encore "Appels et Paroles" (1985), dans lesquels il explore les thèmes de la nature, de l'amour et de la spiritualité. Outre son talent de poète, Claude Vigée est aussi un traducteur de renom. Il a notamment traduit les poètes allemands Goethe, Hölderlin et Rilke. Cette activité lui a permis de nourrir sa propre poésie en s'imprégnant des grands maîtres de la langue allemande. Claude Vigée a reçu de nombreuses distinctions tout au long de sa carrière, dont le Grand Prix de Poésie de l'Académie française en 1992. Son œuvre poétique, intense et profondément humaniste, continue à marquer les esprits et à toucher les lecteurs du monde entier. Claude Vigée, avec sa prose poétique d'une grande sensibilité, a su transmettre son héritage de résistant et de témoin de la Shoah, faisant de la poésie un outil de résilience et de transmission de la mémoire.
