David di Tommaso était un joueur de football professionnel français. Né le 6 octobre 1979 à Évreux, en France, il a connu une carrière prometteuse qui a été brutalement interrompue par sa mort prématurée. Formé à l'INF Clairefontaine, Di Tommaso a rapidement fait ses preuves en tant que défenseur central talentueux et polyvalent. En 1998, il a rejoint le FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, où il a évolué pendant quatre saisons. Pendant cette période, il a été un membre clé de l'équipe et a contribué à la promotion du club en Ligue 1. Son calme et sa vision du jeu en ont fait un joueur respecté de ses coéquipiers et des supporters. En 2002, Di Tommaso a rejoint les rangs du club néerlandais Feyenoord Rotterdam. Il a rapidement impressionné les fans et les médias par sa technique, sa force physique et son leadership sur le terrain. Sous les ordres de l'entraîneur Bert van Marwijk, le défenseur français a remporté de nombreux succès avec Feyenoord, remportant notamment la Coupe UEFA en 2002. Le 29 novembre 2005, à l'âge de 26 ans seulement, David di Tommaso a été retrouvé mort dans sa chambre d'hôtel à Utrecht, aux Pays-Bas. Son décès brutal a choqué la communauté du football, ainsi que ses coéquipiers, sa famille et ses amis. Des milliers de personnes ont assisté à ses funérailles pour lui rendre un dernier hommage. La disparition de David di Tommaso a laissé un vide dans le monde du football français. Ses qualités techniques, son véritable esprit d'équipe et son charisme étaient une source d'inspiration et de motivation pour ses compagnons de jeu. Sa mort précoce est un rappel brutal de la fragilité de la vie et de l'importance de profiter de chaque instant.
