Throughout his life, Philippe Henri de Ségur remained dedicated to the French army, serving in various high-ranking positions, including Minister of War under King Louis XVIII. Despite his accomplishments and notable connections, De Ségur remained humble and dedicated to his craft until his death on February 25, 1873, in Paris. His contributions to military strategy and literature continue to be recognized and admired, making him an enduring figure of French military history.
